ISLAMABAD – President Asif Ali Zardari has awarded the Nishan-e-Pakistan to Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
The ceremony to present the Nishan-e-Pakistan was held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Thursday.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, federal ministers, and senior civil and military officials attended the event.
Also present were Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Balochistan Chief Minister Sardar Sarfraz Bugti, and the Governor of Punjab.
Earlier, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House.
The duo discussed matters of mutual interest as well as regional and global issues. Both leaders vowed to enhance cooperation in various fields.
