QUETTA – At least seven people were killed and 30 others injured after a bus lost control and plunged into a ravine on the Western Bypass in Quetta.
According to the police, the bus, filled with wedding guests, was heading to Bileli from Hazara Town when it lost control due to a tire blowout and fell into the ravine.
Rescue sources reported that among the deceased were Zainat, Bibi Zainab, Bibi Safia, Bibi Aliya, Bibi Shazia, Nasibullah, and Naqeebullah, while more than 30 people sustained injuries.
According to rescue sources, the injured have been transported to Bolan Medical Complex Hospital and the Trauma Center, where medical assistance is being provided. The injured include women and children.
Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti expressed his condolences over the bus accident on the Brewery Bypass and ordered an investigation into the incident.
