Four kidnappers gunned down in Lahore

LAHORE – At least four alleged kidnappers have been killed in an encounter with police in Manawan area in Lahore, police said on Saturday.

On a tip-off, CIA police were taking seven suspects wanted in several robberies and kidnapping for ransom cases for identification when their accomplices started firing on the police van in the wee hours on Saturday in Manawan area of the provincial capital.

On this, the police retaliated, and as a result, “four suspects were killed in firing from their accomplices”, an official claimed. However, taking advantage of the darkness, three criminals fled the scene”, he added.

The suspects who were killed were identified as Sattar, Babar, Azam, and Ijaz. The police have started a search operation for their arrest.-Online
