NEW YORK/LAHORE – The leader of Sikh community residing in America and Canada, Dr Amarjit Singh has questioned as to why India did not initiate war on other Indo-Pak borders instead of Punjab, citing it as a huge conspiracy against Sikhs of Punjab.
“He said Sikhs who were relocated to camps from residential localities near border by Indian forces have complained of inadequate facilities at the camps raising voice against Indian army and the government”, Amarjit made these comments while talking to TV 84 here the other day.
“Hindu leadership didn’t scare of Nuclear War as it would not harm the majority of Hindus residing in Madhya Pradesh and central India although the war would definitely affect Indian- Punjab and Pakistan”, he said. “The Hindu establishment never took care of Sikh community since 1947″ Singh maintained.
He expressed that Indian constitution refers three communities, Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists as Hindus disposing of their rights as minorities due to which Sikh legislators refused to ratify the constitution.
The Sikh leader claimed that after series of injustices, the Sikh community decided to resist Indian occupation with armed struggle in 1984
Emaan Singh Mann, another Sikh leader, termed Indian Surgical strikes a complete flop show which was staged on the advice of PM Modi at LoC. He asked Pakistan for diplomatic assistance against India for ‘Khalistan’ movement and stressed that the separation of Punjab was vital for peace in South Asia. “Terms between Pakistan and India would strengthen once demands of Sikhs were met”, Emaan Singh claimed.
In a 54 minute interview, both the leaders urged Pakistan to support Sikh community on the diplomatic front to achieve the dream of “Khalistan” state.
