Iftikhar Chaudhry’s petition for PM Nawaz’s disqualification accepted

LAHORE (Staff Report) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday accepted a petition seeking disqualification of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Lahore High Court Chief Justice Mansoor Ali Shah accepted a petition filed by former chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhry, stating that the prime minister and his family had lied and hidden their assets but the truth had been revealed in Panama papers. So he had lost the moral authority to continue as the prime minister.
