ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday flew into a rage at the way police officer received Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter, Maryam Nawaz during her appearance before the JIT.
Today, Maryam Nawaz made her maiden appearance before the investigators of Panama Papers case along with a long convoy. As she reached Federal Judicial Academy, a female police officer of capital police, ASP Arsla Salim received her and presented her a salute after she disembarked from her car.

On such treatment, the PTI chief showed anger and posted comments on Twitter saying, “Inexplicable why private citizen Maryam getting official protocol with police saluting as she goes to appear before criminal investigation?”.

Arsla Saleem has been assigned the duty to escort Maryam Nawaz, daughter of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to the Federal Judicial Academy (FJA).
24-year old Arsla Saleem, who is resident of Islamabad, is functioning as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) at Ramna Police Station located in the federal capital’s Sector G-11.
It is important to mention here that over 2500 security officials including police, Rangers and other law enforcement agencies have been deployed to ensure her safe appearance. While barbed wires have been laid down around the judicial academy to limit the public.
