Rabi Ul Sani Moon Sighted In Pakistan New Islamic Month Starts Today

ISLAMABAD – The moon of month of Rabi-ul-Sani was sighted on Friday, and the first day of fourth Islamic month starts today on Saturday.

Ministry of Religious Affairs announced the official start of Rabi-ul-Sani, also known as Rabi’ II. The announcement was made following a session led by Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, who confirmed the sighting during a meeting at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony in capital city Islamabad.

Central Committee members were engaged in moon sighting meetings across various provinces and districts, ensuring that all regions were informed about the moon’s visibility.

Officials communicated all relevant information regarding the moon’s position, ensuring start to the new month for the Muslim community in Asian nation.
