Big drop in prices of Ghee, Cooking Oil, and over 800 items at Utility Stores

ISLAMABAD – A sigh of relief for inflation-weary people as Utility Stores Corporation slashed prices of over 800 essential items by up to 10percent.

This price reduction includes items from several brands, with popular household products like ghee, cooking oil, tea, detergent, noodles, ketchup, tetra-pack milk, powdered milk, spices, pickles, soap, toothpaste, and more seeing cuts ranging from 8 to 200 rupees.

The new prices have been implemented immediately across all utility stores. While the Benazir Income Support Program’s subsidy remains temporarily suspended, it is expected to resume soon under a revised mechanism.

In a related development, the joint session of Parliament has been postponed until next week. Meanwhile, Utility Stores Corporation’s management has committed to further improving services, ensuring a steady supply of quality products at discounted rates.

Consumers can now make purchases at utility stores without any hassle or conditions, with administration confirming that additional price cuts are being planned for other items in the near future.
