LAHORE (Staff Report) – As many as 24 districts of Punjab are all set for local government elections on direct seats of different union councils.
Today (Monday) is the last date for filing nomination papers while scrutiny of the papers will be held tomorrow (Tuesday).
Appeals against acceptance or rejection of nomination papers would be filed by Thursday and the final list of candidates with symbols will be displayed on Saturday. Polling will be held on March 21.
The seats had remained vacant due to deaths of candidates, wrong allocation of symbols and misprinting of ballot papers etc.
