Nepra reduces power tariff by Rs2.60 per unit

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) Thursday approved a reduction of Rs2.60 per unit in power rates of all distribution companies, except K-Electric, on account of monthly fuel price adjustment.

The reduction in power tariff would not be applicable on consumers using less than 300 units a month.

According to Nepra, the fuel cost in August remained at Rs3.85 per unit but the customers were charged Rs7.45 per unit.

Nepra had earlier received an application for fuel adjustment charges from the Central Power Purchase Agency in this regard.
