LAHORE (Staff Report) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Punjab officials on Thursday arrested the former adviser of provincial chief minister Mian Zahoor Ahmad Wattoo on the charges of corruption.
Wattoo also contested general election of the ticket of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan in NA-128 and PP-161 in 2013.
According to NAB officials the bank accounts of Zahoor Wattoo and other directors of Formanites Housing Society have also been ceased.
Wattoo, who also owns a private news channel Royal TV, is accused of a fraud with around 1200 people by selling them plots which were non-existent plots in the Formanites Housing Society Lahore which is also owned by him.
Earlier Mian Zahoor Wattoo promised to return the looted money of Rs 67 crore to the affectees as part of plea-bargain with NAB. However he failed to meet the deadline.
