PM Imran holds separate meetings with CM Buzdar, Governor Sarwar in Lahore

LAHORE – Prime Minister Imran Khan Saturday met Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar and discussed issues pertaining to development projects in the province and political matters.

The premier also met Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar. During the meeting, it was decided that guided tours would be arranged for visitors of the Governor House.

It has been agreed that every week, two days would be dedicated for arranging the tour in which the citizens would get access to the buildings of the palatial governor house.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will spend a busy day here on Saturday as he is scheduled to chair multiple meeting on varying subjects. The prime minister would also launch the Punjab enrollment policy today.

The prime minister would review progress on the establishment of shelters for homeless people, promotion of tourism, measures taken by Punjab Food Authority against adulteration, and Clean and Green Pakistan drive during multiple meetings.

Sheikh Rasheed Calls on PM Imran

Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad also called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at the Chief Minister’s House on Saturday.

The minister said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will contact Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to discuss regional issues.

Talking to the media after the meeting, the lawmaker said that he was on a visit to Iran for two days where he met Iranian president and gave him a letter from Prime Minister Imran  Khan.

He said that a meeting between the Pakistani prime minister and Iranian president was expected soon adding that Pakistan railways would enhance departmental cooperation with Iran and Turkey.

Sh Rashid said that Prime Minister Imran Khan would inaugurate the newly established VIP train, Jinnah Express, on March 30, which would run between Karachi Cantt and Lahore Cantt.

“Another VIP train, Sir Syed Express, would also be introduced soon to facilitate the elite of society,” he added.
