QUETTA – At least five people, including three members of Hazara Shia community, were killed and one injured after unknown assailants targeted their vehicle on Kasi road in Quetta on Monday.
As per reports, the attackers approached on a motorcycle and opened fire on the vehicle. The police reached the scene and launched an investigation to trace the escaped armed men.
Earlier in September, five people belonging to Hazara community were killed after they came under attack while coming from Chaman near Kuchalak area in Quetta.
In July, four family members of the ethnic community and their driver were shot dead by the unknown armed men near Balochistan’s Mastung area.
Numbers of Hazara community members, who belong to Shia sect, have been killed in several bombings and gun attacks as over 1,400 such incidents occurred during last 15 years.
