Landmine explosion injures three in Balochistan

QUETTA – In a tragic turn of events, three people were left injured in a landmine blast in Balochistan Wednesday morning, according to levies sources.

The explosion occurred when a vehicle hit a landmine in the Mawand, Kohlu area. Subsequently, the local administration shifted the three injured persons to District Headquarters Hospital Kohlu, where the condition of two was stated to be out of danger.

One of the injured persons whose condition was critical has been sent to Dera Ghazi Khan for further treatment.

Landmine explosions have become common in Pakistan’s biggest province by area, Balochistan. This was the third incident of landmine blast in May.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has also seen a recent wave of landmine explosions. On Monday, three policemen were left injured in capital Peshawar.
