SEOUL – Samsung is set to launch its Note flagship device Galaxy Note 9 in next few months, most probably on August 9.
Galaxy Note 9’s renders and specifications have already been leaked and suggest that the new smartphone does not get any major update and looks similar to its predecessor.
The new leaks, coming from Ice Universe, shows that the South Korean tech giant has relocated the fingerprint sensor below the camera.

The new design gets the same horizontal camera array (likely to have dual cameras), but Samsung has fixed the ergonomics on this one by moving the fingerprint sensor below the shooters. Last year’s Note 8 and S8 flagships had an odd fingerprint scanner placement – right next to the camera – that was more difficult to use.
It is possible Samsung might just reshuffle the cameras, LED and heart rate sensor occupying a similar space on the back.
Moreover, the new design also shows a ‘mysterious’ fourth button on its sides which seems like an addition to the usual volume rocker, Bixby launcher, and power button combo.
Its placement does suggest that it might be a camera shutter button.
The upcoming successor to the flagship Note series does not seem like a major design overhaul compared to the Note 8, but it is sure to pack some latest technology.
In-Display Scanner & Specifications
According to previous reports, Samsung has ditched the most sought-after feature FoD (Finger Print on Display) feature for upcoming Note flagship.

The new case leaks give a better idea about Note 9’s dimensions, which, by the way, are 161.9 x 76.3 x 8.8 mm.
Another rumor says that it will have a 3,850 mAh battery instead of the weak 3,300mAh unit on the Note 8.

Other specifications include Exynos 9810 or Snapdragon 845 chipset and at least 6 GB RAM.
Reports also suggest that the South Korean tech giant is gearing up to boost’s upcoming Galaxy Note 9 storage to 512GB coupled with 8GB of RAM.
