Solar energy cheapest way to generate power: Shahbaz
LAHORE (Staff Report)-Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that solar energy is the cheapest way to generate power.

He was addressing a news conference in Lahore on Friday evening.

He said that there is a vast potential for hydel-power projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Kashmir but it take long time for completion.

He said wind power projects with a total capacity of two hundred megawatts have been set-up at Jam Peer.

US dollar was being quoted at 277.4 for buying and 280.35 for selling.

Euro stands at 297 for buying and 299.5 for selling while British Pound rate is 348.5 for buying, and 352 for selling.

UAE Dirham AED was at 75.25 and Saudi Riyal came down to 73.50.
