Pakistanis are anticipated to receive relief at the pump as the price of petroleum products is expected to be reduced starting September 16, following a global drop in oil prices.
According to sources, petrol prices are projected to fall by Rs11.70 per litre. High-speed diesel is also expected to see a reduction, potentially decreasing by up to Rs11.91 per litre. In addition, the price of kerosene oil is likely to drop by Rs8.30 per litre, while light diesel is anticipated to fall by Rs9.50 per litre.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has completed its preliminary review based on current market data. The detailed recommendations will be forwarded to the government on September 15 for final approval.
These adjustments in fuel prices are expected to provide significant financial relief to consumers across the country, reflecting the ongoing fluctuations in global oil markets.
