ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has informed the Pakistani counter part Nawaz Sharif that top diplomat of the country will soon visit all SAARC countries including Pakistan.
The long awaited breakthrough surfaced in a phone talk between Indian PM and Nawaz Sharif when Modi extended his best wishes to Pakistan for upcoming cricket world cup where both teams meet in a pool match on February 15.
According to media reports Modi said, “India’s new foreign secretary will soon visit all Saarc countries and would also like to visit Pakistan’.
In a respond to Indian PM Sharif said Pakistan will welcome the visit of Indian foreign secretary to Pakistan to discuss all issues of common interest, statement released to media said.
Earlier India had cancelled a meeting of the foreign secretaries of the two countries last August in protest against the meeting of the Pakistani high commissioner with Kashmiri separatist leaders.
