Justice Sajjad Ali Shah sworn in as SC judge as Sindh gets new Chief Justice

ISLAMABAD -Sindh High Court Chief Justice Justice Sajjad Ali Shah took oath as Supreme Court (SC) Judge on Wednesday.

The oath taking ceremony, at Supreme Court premises in Islamabad, was attended by senior lawyers, Judges, and Attorney General of Pakistan.

Chief Justice Supreme Court Mr. Justice Saqib Nisar administrated the oath.

Justice Sajjad Ali Shah had joined the legal fraternity in 1985 and practised for 20 years before being promoted to the bench of the Sindh High Court (SHC) on October 24, 2005.

He became Chief Justice of Sindh High Court on December 14, 2015 after replacing justice Faisal Arab.

Justice Shah also remained an honorary lecturer in S.M. Law College Karachi from 1995 till his promotion to the bench. He was appointed as standing council for Government of Pakistan in 2002 and thereafter as deputy attorney general for the Government of Pakistan in 2004, ARY news reported.

Following the promotion of Justice Sajjad Ali Shah to  SC Judge from Sindh High Court (SHC), Justice Ahmed Ali Sheikh took oath as SHC Chief Justice.

The oath was administered by Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair while Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah also attended the oath taking ceremony for Justice Ahmed Ali Sheikh.
