DENVER (Web Desk) – Sunday’s carnage in Orlando, in which 49 people were killed at a gay night club, has caused the sale of weapons to skyrocket especially among the gay and lesbian community.
While gun shops in America are used to a surge in clients after every mass shooting, such as the Sandy Hook and the Aurora theater massacres, they have started appealing to an altogether new clientele after the Pulse club shooting.

George Horne, the owner of The Gun Room, Denver’s oldest firearms dealer, said, “At this time of year I’d say its [our business is] three to four times what we normally get,” he said adding that it’s natural after any violent attack.
The Pink Pistols, a national gun club for gays and lesbians, also saw its membership rise from about 1,500 members on Saturday to 3,500 on Monday.
Dozens of new chapters are springing up, including one in Colorado Springs.
The Orlando massacre has also brought the issue of gun control reform and the right to bear arms under America’s 2nd Constitutional Amendment to the forefront of public discussions.
