This Is About Human Rights Not Politics Jemima Goldsmith On Imran Khan Solitary Confinement

KARACHI – Jemima Goldsmith, the former wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, shared concerns about Imran Khan’s isolation at Adiala Jail, and crackdown on his party and family members.

The UK-based film writer made an urgent appeal for release of the former PM, citing serious concerns about his treatment in jail. She mentioned ceasing all family and lawyer visits, postponed court hearings, and barred Khan from contacting his two sons since early September.

She also reported that Imran’s jail cell has been deprived of power, and he is confined without any opportunity to leave, and the jail cook has been placed on leave, calling it ‘solitary confinement. Khan’s family has faced targeting, with his sisters and nephew unlawfully arrested.
