Beggars move LHC against strict action of Lahore’s district administration

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Beggars have filed a plea in the Lahore High Court (LHC) vis-à-vis the coercive measures by the Lahore district administration.

The petitioner pleaded that he is a disabled person and recites “Naats” in different religious functions as well as in mosques.

He informed the LHC that the authorities are taking coercive measures to stop such activity.

Judge Ijazul Ahsan disposed of the petition, directing the DCO to hear the petitioner and all other parties concerned and decide the matter in accordance with law through a reasoned order as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of three weeks.
