Indian forces fire at kashmiri protesters, 14 wounded

SRINAGAR (Web Desk) – At least 14 Kashmiris were injured on Friday when Indian army opened fire on a protest rally in Srinagar, local media reported.

As per reports, All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was leading a rally of hundreds of supporters in Srinagar when Indian security forces opened indiscriminate fire on protestors.

At least 14 people suffered bullet injuries, report further said.

The rally was taken out in protest against arrest of Masarat Alam Bhat, a prominent separatist leader who waved Pakistani flags in a rally and chanted pro-Pakistan slogans in main city of Srinagar yesterday.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, speaking to media, termed use of force as India’s state terrorism, saying that peaceful protestors were subjected to brutal torture.
