LAHORE (Staff Report) – Earthquake tremors were felt in parts of Punjab, including Lahore and surrounding areas on Sunday.
People left their homes and offices in panic. No casualties were reported.
The quake hit many areas including Kasur, Nankana Sahib, Sheikhpura, Faisalabad, Pakpattan and Sahiwal among others.
“The quake measured 4.4 on the Richter scale, with its epicentre 37 km South West of Lahore”, Met office reported.
The Indian Met Department (IMD) said, the tremors were also felt in Indian cities like Amritsar and Jalandhar in Punjab.
