Kia Sportage is one of top compact SUVs in Pakistan and remained best-selling model autogiant globally since 2016. The crossover vehicle gained popularity as compact drive, achieving strong sales, even with its average design. The 2,000cc car was launched by Lucky Motor Corporation as first locally assembled AWD vehicle.
The car is equipped with cutting-edge safety features, including forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and blind-spot monitoring. Additionally, it offers conveniences such as dual-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable seats, and a panoramic sunroof, distinguishing it from its competitors.
In this year’s budget, Pakistani government introduced new tax policy for brand-new locally manufactured cars, changing the calculation of Withholding Tax (WHT) from engine size to a percentage of the car’s invoice value.
For KIA, filers will pay 2% , while non-filers will pay 6%. This updated policy now includes tax rates for both filers and non-filers, correcting previous reports that only mentioned the rates for filers.
