PESHAWAR – During the recent polio vaccination campaign in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) 56,000 children could not be immunised in 12 districts of the province, local media reported.
According to the health department, the anti-polio campaign was launched on July 10 in the 12 districts of KP and two of Federally Administrated Tribal Areas aimed at vaccinating 3.2 million children.
Now, it is being reported that thousands of children were deprived of polio drops during the campaign.
More than three point two million children up to five years of age were immunised in Peshawar, Haripur, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Batagram, Kohistan, Torghar, Shangla, Swat, Upper & Lower Dir, Chitral districts, Khyber and South Waziristan Agencies.
