RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) – Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Sunday said the military push to eliminate all types of terrorism would continue across the country to restore peace and prosperity.
The army chief, according to twitter feed of DG ISPR, Major-General Asim Bajwa, visited the corps headquarters Peshawar where he was briefed about the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb and the ongoing operation in Khyber Agency.
The COAS expressed his satisfaction over the steady progress being made by the army.
He, on the occasion, also visited the injured personnel at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Peshawar. “The resolve and indomitable spirit of the wounded soldiers is source of confidence for those fighting against terrorists”, he averred.
General Raheel reaffirmed his commitment to bring peace in Pakistan at any cost. The terrorists will be targeted in urban as well as remote areas with extreme precision, he reasserted.
