Opp leader backs Karachi swoop, says MQM called for it

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Opposition leader in National Assembly Khursheed Shah on Sunday said the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was given advantage by delaying the execution of Saulat Mirza.

During to a press conference in Lahore, the PPP leader said that Mirza’s last-minute statement was making the stay of his execution suspicious.

“Saulat Mirza should be awarded the punishment as per court orders,” he added.

Speaking about Karachi operation, Shah said it was launched on the demand of MQM. “Around 60 percent of the terrorists in Lyari have been killed during the ongoing operation. Most of them were Taliban,” Shah claimed.

Furthermore, he said that Imran Khan should return to the parliament, after the government has agreed on making a judicial commission, as all matters can be resolved only through negotiations.
