Imran Khan to appear before judicial commission today

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk/Agencies) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan is due to appear today (Thursday) before judicial commission investigating alleged vote-rigging in 2013 general elections, local media reported.

On Wednesday, PTI representatives submitted ‘documentary evidences’ comprised of 3000 pages to the judicial commission along with an application in which the party requested the panel to call 13 bigwigs including ex-Punjab Chief Minister Najam Sethi.

Three-member commission, headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk, is holding an inquiry into election malpractices.

The judicial panel in its first public hearing last week ordered the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) to submit forensic report of 37 constituencies within three days.
