Ignore media criticism , PCB chairman advises players

BRISBANE (Web Desk) – The management of Pakistan cricket team have been forced to cancel a practice session scheduled for today (Monday) and it is decided that a vital meeting with players should be held first to review the team performance and morale.

As per reports, Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board, Shehryar Khan, himself addressed the players and management through a telephone call. The PCB chairman advised the players to ignore media criticism and to just concentrate on future matches, since the World Cup had not been finished yet.
Moreover, team Manager Naveed Akram Cheema and Coach Waqar Younis addressed players at this meeting. Cheema and Younis told the players that the tournament was not over and four matches remained. The team was asked to keep its morale high and fulfill expectations in future matches as the nation had high hopes from them.

It was reported that the players were under immense pressure and stress after the team lost its opening World Cup matches to India and West Indies.
