ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said on Monday that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders should take legal action against British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) if they are not guilty, local media reported.
Khan stated this while talking to media outside Supreme Court (SC), adding that the case was bringing destruction for PML-N’s government.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in his speech in the National Assembly stated that he has complete evidence regarding the money trail, but he could not present the evidence before the SC, the PTI chief said.
He also declared the Qatari letter, which has been submitted as an evidence for money trail, was a fraud, adding that it was composed after the investigation into the case had kicked off.
He alleged that Mayfair flats were owned by Husain Nawaz, while Maryam Nawaz was owner of London flats.
The journalist who raised the issue of Panama issue has verified that Maryam Nawaz was the real owner of London flats, he said.
Khan said that the nation wanted answers to all the questions, adding that the PML-N was piling up technical issues instead of filing evidence before the court.
