US embassy condemns Director T2F’s killing

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – The United States embassy in Islamabad on Saturday condemned the tragic killing of Director The Second Floor Sabeen Mahmud in Karachi the other day.

The embassy, in a brief statement issued to the media, expressed its grievances over the murder and extended stood by the mourning family.

The law enforcement agencies should arrest the culprits as soon as possible, it said.

Director of The Second Floor (T2F), Sabeen Mahmud, was shot dead by identified armed men on Friday evening.

The gun attack took place in Defence Phase 2 area of the city.

Police said, Sabeen Mahmud was attacked on her way to home while her mother was also wounded.

She was Director of T2F, a project of PeaceNiche.

Sabeen Mahmud was reportedly returning from a seminar on the issue of right abuses in Balochistan.
