JF-17C fighter jets, jointly developed by Pakistan and China, have been inducted into Azerbaijan’s Air Force fleet.
According to foreign media, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense announced the inclusion of JF-17C fighter jets, supplied by Pakistan, into its air force fleet.
Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, along with Pakistani military officials, observed the capabilities of the aircraft. President Aliyev even inspected the jet while sitting inside it.
The JF-17C fighter jets are developed in collaboration between Pakistan Aeronautical Complex and China’s Chengdu Aircraft Corporation.
Earlier this year, Pakistani media reported that Azerbaijan intended to purchase JF-17C jets, with the deal valued at approximately $1.6 billion.
The report states that these are modern, lightweight, all-weather aircraft designed for both day and night operations.
