Govt attempting to kill Zardari, alleges Bilawal

ISLAMABAD –  Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari alleged on Monday that the government was attempting to kill former president Asif Ali Zardari by not providing him medical facilities in jail.

Talking to newsmen outside the Adiala Jail after meeting his father, Bilawal slammed the ruling regime and said his party sent Ayub Khan, Yahya Khan, Zia ul-Haq, and General (retd) Pervez Musharraf packing, wondering what was this puppet [the prime minister] then.

Bilawal took a jibe at the premier and said he is a fascist who is attacking media and democracy and arresting the Opposition’s women.

He vowed to expose and unmask the premier at every front, alleging that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was trying to pressurise him and his party.

Bilawal complained that his aunt, Faryal Talpur was arrested from a hospital at midnight and shifted to Adiala Jail.

“Our religion teaches us to respect women,” the PPP chief reminded.

He, however, asserted that we [PPP] will not back off from our viewpoint.

The lawmaker alleged that the prime minister had struck a deal on Kashmir during his meeting with US President Donald Trump but warned that “we won’t let Niazi make deals on Kashmir”.
