Rigging allegations: Ex-CJP ready to testify before commission

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The former chief justice of Pakistan, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, on Thursday expressed his readiness to appear before the judicial commission accorded by the government and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for a probe into rigging allegations in the 2013 general elections.

 

Chuadhry, according to a private news channel, once again rejected the allegations of PTI Chief Imran Khan. “I am all clean at this matter”, he said of the rigging.

 

As far as the allegations hurled by Imran Khan are concerned, I have filed a defamation law suit against him, he said.

 

PTI chief Imran Khan has been time and again blaming the former chief justice for his involvement in rigging the general elections 2013, who has also filed a defamation suit of worth Rs 20 billion against him.
