Erdogan requests meeting with Putin amid high tensions

MOSCOW (Web Desk) – Russian government on Friday claimed that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has requested a meeting with President Vladimir Putin during the climate change conference in Paris on November 30.

The Moscow based Russia Today has quoted Dmitry Peskov, who is a a spokesman of Russian government, saying as that there has been a proposal of president level talks from Ankara to disperse the situation created after downing of Russian warplane by Turkish air force.

He told newsmen that Erdogan’s request was forwarded to President Putin however he declined to further comment at the issue.

On the occasion he also confirmed that Turkish president had telephoned Putin just eight or seven hours after downing of the plane.
