He was remanded into the custody of NAB for 14 days and would appear before the NAB court again by the end of this month.

Shehbaz Sharif also made a speech on the floor of the National Assembly, alleging that there was an unholy alliance between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and National Accountability Bureau; he is expected to turn up before the house on production orders again for which an application has been forwarded by PML-N.

NAB has also summoned Hamza and Salman, the scions of Shehbaz Sharif, to clarify their position regarding business dealings.

Moreover, an accountability court on Saturday ordered authorities to confiscate the properties owned by former Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s son-in-law, Ali Imran – an absconder in a mega corruption case.

The court issued heard order while hearing a petition filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) seeking confiscation of Imran Ali’s properties in the Punjab Power Company scandal.

During the hearing, NAB prosecutor informed the court that Ali is accused of pocketing Rs12 million from Ikram Naveed, former CEO of Punjab Power Development Company (PPDC). The accused appeared before NAB in April this but has since then left the country, avoiding the investigations.
