ISLAMABAD – The mobile phone of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member Uzma Kardar was confiscated on Tuesday by officials of Islamabad High Court for capturing selfies in the court room.
The PTI leader showed up at the court where a petition against Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif was being heard but her selfies with PTI leader Naeemul Haque amid hearing landed her in trouble when the gadget was taken away.
The selfies were noticed by Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani who ordered the PTI worker to submit a written apology as the use of phones was not allowed inside the court.
Kardar had to submit a single-page apology and delete nine selfies for taking back her phone from court authorities.
Earlier, in June, Uzma Kardar garnered spotlight after she disrupted State Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb’s press conference by walking up to the dais and asking her to leave.
