ISLAMABAD – The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recommended increase in petroleum prices, starting from August 1st.
According to a summary sent to Finance Ministry, a Rs 2.12 per liter increase was recommended by the authority for petrol. The authority also recommended an increase in High-Speed Diesel price by Rs 0.26 and an increase of Rs. 3.94 in Kerosine price. On the other hand, High Octane price will be reduced by Rs. 0.60 and Light Speed Diesel by Rs 1.24.
Gas companies also demanded an increase in gas prices by Rs 18 to 17 per MMBTU. Sui Southern and Sui Northern has asked OGRA to allow for a price adjustment of gas prices, effective since July 1.
