DAMASCUS (Web Desk) – At least 20 civilians were killed while dozens others seriously injured when a suspected Russian jet rained cluster bombs at a market in Idlib province of war torn Syrian, The Al Jazeera reported on Sunday.
According to Director Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Rami Abdulrahman, the death toll was much higher than being reported as hundreds of people were present in the market at the time of bombing. He feared at least 60 people were killed in the attack.
Another Syrian TV channel, Orient TV, has claimed that at least forty people have died in the attack while more than a hundred others were wounded.
The Russian air force have been consucting aerial strikes in Syria to support the regime of President Bashar al-Assad against west-backed rebels and Islamic State group.
