WASHINGTON (Staff Report) – Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar met Chairman of Exim Bank Fred Hochberg in New York and apprised him about the positive outlook of Pakistan’s economy.
In his remarks, Ishaq Dar said the country’s economy has been on a consistent positive trajectory since the current government introduced vital economic reforms two years ago.
He said the GDP has witnessed a growth while the government has managed to bring down fiscal deficit to 5.3 percent from 8.8 percent.
Hochberg appreciated Pakistan’s positive economic performance and expressed his Banks readiness to work with Pakistan on projects of mutual benefit.
