Managing Director PTV Arshad Khan removed

ISLAMABAD – The Managing Director of state-owned Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV), Arshad Khan has been removed from his post, disclosed sources at the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Thursday.

Colonel (retd) Hassan has been given charge of the MD of the state broadcaster, weeks after Information minister Fawad Chaudhry publicly expressed his displeasure over the performance of Arshad Khan.

The issue of MD PTV had become a bone of contention between the information minister and  Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Affairs, Naeemul Haque – both close confidants of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
