RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) – Islamabad Police have obtained the CCTV footage, showing the suicide bomber who tried to blew himself up in an attack on Kasr-e-Sakina imambargah in Rawalpindi’s Shakrail area, for forensic purposes.
The footage shows the suicide bomber, wearing shalwar-qameez and a black coat, moving towards the imambargah. After a security guard signals him to go back, he pulls out a pistol and opens fire on the security guard in a bid to force his entry into the imambargah. He opens indiscriminate firing and tries to detonate his suicide vest, which does not go off.
Further investigation is in progress.
