Implementation on NAP being reviewed in Apex Committee

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The meeting of Apex Committee is underway in Islamabad with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the chair.

It is discussing progress on implementation of National Action Plan against terrorism, the Radio Pakistan reported.

Reports of all the four provincial Apex Committees will be presented during the meeting.

The provincial governors, chief ministers, AJK Prime Minister Abdul Majeed, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, heads of intelligence agencies and Chairman NADRA are attending the meeting.

Earlier, Interior Minister Ch Nisar chaired the opening session of the meeting. It discussed matters pertaining to religious seminaries, non-governmental organisations, and progress made under the NAP.

The chief ministers agreed to all the proposals put forth by the interior minister regarding important issues including regularisation of affairs of NGOs and uniformity in policies on arms licenses, bulletproof vehicles, and private security companies.
