Muhammad Rizwan, Imad Wasim lift Pakistan to 259 against Zimbabwe in first ODI

HARARE (Staff Report) – Pakistan cricket team on Thursday set a target of 260 runs against Zimbabwe in first One Day International (ODI) of three match series, when all rounders Muhammad Rizwan and Imad Wasim made a partnership of 124 runs after top order batsmen failed to stay long at pitch.

Rizwan scored 75 runs off 74 balls while Wasim contributed with 61 runs off 61 balls at Harare Sports Club.

Vice captain Sarfraz Ahmad also played an innings of 44 runs.

Zimbabwe’s  Panyangara, Jongwe, Cremer and Nyumbu dismissed one Pakistani batsman each.

Earlier Zimbabwe captain E Chigumbura won the toss and decided to field against visiting Pakistan team in the first ODI cricket match.

All-rounder Aamer Yamin made his debut in ODI format.
