Shiv Sena hooliganism in India sparks protests across Pakistan

LAHORE (Ihsan Qadir) – Hindu extremist group Shiv Sena hooliganism, which disrupted talks between cricket officials of both India and Pakistan, has forced people across the country to come on streets and protest the extremist group.

Shiv Sena goons on early Monday stormed BCCI office in Mumbai to protest talks between Pakistan and India cricket board chiefs.

After the attack, ICC pulled Pakistani empire Aleem Dar from India-South Africa series and Pakistani commentators Shoaib Akhtar and Wasim Akram had to leave India.

In this connection, people from all walks of life have started protesting Shiv Sena’s anti-Pakistan stance and anti-cricket policy.

In Lahore, people gathered at Qaddafi Stadium, GPO Chowk, Lahore Press Club and many other sites to protest Shiv Sena.

People shouted pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans. They shouted: “Down Moodi Sarkar, Down Shiv Sena, T20 World Cup in India unacceptable, Long Live Shahyar Khan.”

In Multan, cricket players stopped match in the stadium and chanted slogans against Shiv Sena.

In Gujranwala, traders held a demonstration to protest Indian Prime Minister Nareendar Modi’s anti-Pakistan policies.
