WASHINGTON (Staff Report) – The United States Overseas Private Investment Corporation and K-Electric Limited on Thursday singed a commitment letter of cooperation in Washington.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar was also present in the ceremony.
According to the agreement US Overseas Private Investment Corporation will provide 250 million dollars to K-Electric in ten years.
Speaking on the occasion Dar said that overcoming energy shortage in the country is among the top most priority areas of the PML-N Government.
The Minister said Government is not only starting projects in the public sector but is also giving incentives to the private sector to invest in energy projects.
