2-year-old killed, 7 hurt in grenade attack in Lyari

KARACHI (Web Desk) – A two-year old was killed and seven others wounded in a hand grenade attack in Lyari area of Karachi on Monday, while another three were killed in other violence-related incidents.

As per details, two attackers, riding on a motorbike, hurled a hand grenade at an auto rickshaw on Mirza Adam Khel Road and fled the scene. The attack claimed the life of a two-year-old child and injured seven others, who were rushed to the Civil Hospital.

The incident simmered unrest in the area and as a result, shopkeepers closed their businesses.

Meanwhile, body of a woman was recovered from Ali Muhammad Goth area of Surjani Town. The victim has not yet been identified.

In another incident, a man was shot dead in Manghopir area near Northern Bypass.

Another man, identified as Saqib, was gunned down by unidentified miscreants in Orangi Town No 2.
