MUMBAI (Web Desk) – Indian tennis star Sania Mirza Sunday preferred to celebrate her 29th birthday with her Bollywood friends in Mumbai rather than her husband Shoaib Malik in Dubai as he is playing Pak-England cricket series in United Arab Emirates (UAE).
As per media reports, Filmmaker Farah Khan hosted a birthday party for her close friend Sania Mirza in Mumbai on Sunday.
Several celebs, including Salman Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Parineeti Chopra, Tabu, Sajid Khan, Sushant Singh Rajput, Sonu Sood, Mahesh Bhupathi, Neha Dhupia and others, attended the birthday bash, IBT reported.
Sania reportedly first spent some time with her family in Hyderabad on Saturday and then flew to Mumbai to celebrate her birthday with her friends.
Interestingly, the sportsperson shares her birthday with her mother Nasima.
Sania has several reasons to celebrate this year as she won 10 titles, including two Grand Slams with partner Martina Hingis apart from retaining the year-end WTA finals title in Singapore. They later won the US Open too.
Currently, she is ranked as the world No. 1 in women’s doubles.
As Sania didn’t have time to organise a party on her birthday, close friend Farah threw a grand bash. Sania even thanked the director on social media and several pictures from the party are making the rounds on the internet.
