ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Senior journalist Dr Shahid Masood has released images of militants who possibly planned assassination of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.
Talking to the host of his TV programme “Live with Dr Shahid Masood”, the former PTV managing director revealed that Sardar Rehman Baloch – the man without moustaches – was the chief of People Aman Committee before Uzair Baloch.
Haji Nasir, who according to Dr Shahid Masood sent the attackers kill Benazir Bhutto, is also seen in the picture released by Dr Masood.
Dr Masood endorsed his views while referring an earlier statement of notorious Lyari war gangster Uzair Baloch, in which he admitted that Haji Nasir had trained Yasin Baloch.
Dr Shahid also claimed that Haji Nasir is alive and along with other absconders are present in Iran, most probably Pishin.
The revelation has caused stir in the political circles, especially in Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) becasued of its alleged links with Uzair Baloch and Lyari gang-war.
Former PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto was assassinated on December 27, 2007 during a public rally in Rawalpindi’s Liaquat Park. She was shot in the head before the attackers detonated his suicide vest close to BB’s vehicle.
